BODY HEAT

MP3: Silk Flowers - Small Fortune (Peter's House Music remix)

Peter's House Music's smooth retrograde has been a staple in my DJ sets at places like "pubs" in the early evenings in Northern England where the purportedly cheesy house compilation vibes and particulary "smooth" style of throwback may've confused things slightly ("got any Stone Roses m8?") but I don't think it lessens the super funky lite-dance positivity and vivid skyline/apartment views of stuff like this.

SHADOWS IN DAYLITE

MP3: Silk Flowers - Band Of Color

Brand new synth jammer from Brooklyn's Silk Flowers who've smoothed their dark warbles a little here into pretty a concise and darkly pure ballad even if its still moping through some industrial 80, head down/hands in pockets, William Gibson-style grey dusk sky. These pop areas are on the same wave as Gary War just coated in less of their own and other peoples nightmares.
