PIXEL GHOSTS

This track from Philly's Bermuda Bonnie reminds me of the music in the haunted house part of Super Mario Land 2 for Game Boy, which is obviously a vibe win straight off the bat: classic platform gaming and hilariously "spooky"/catchy 16-bit jams? YES PLS. The sluggish drum machine and dual retro synth attack (one rattles, one twinkles) give If I Had A Party a super endearing late nite vibe, like BB recorded it in her pyjamas while wearing a long & pointy nightcap, holding a candle and yawning constantly while the moon winked at her and cartoon skeletons marched around outside. This track is from Bermuda Bonnie's free self-titled debut album which you can grab whenever you're ready from An American Chinese.

BONUS MIDI: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins Ghost House Theme!!
