DILLA JOINTS
Gettin duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumb over this new Roots mixtape which features our boys paying homage to J Dilla with a series of extremely tasteful reinterpretations of classic Dilla beats. It’s pretty tough to pick one track from the fourteen impeccable cuts on offer but I did it anyway. Clearly The Roots are at a point, musically speaking, where they do what they want and do it well – lucky, since this is the kind of project you don’t wanna fuck up. If you need me I’ll be listening to Dilla Joints.
