Real “sophisticated” jam here from Melodie Nelson, aka Sydney’s Lia Tsamoglou. She’s a member of defunct local noise freex Moonmilk, and this new solo track is, well, nothing like that: instead of waves of noise and distortion we get super-sweet 60s ballad vibes in glorious hi-fidelity. It’s got that classic weary romance feel happening, sombre and pretty and naive and completely unironic; like how a vintage girl group might sound if they’d ever been truly disappointed.
