Speculator put me onto Polyester Raincoat maybe like a year ago now, still really into how nicely it falls outside the realm of many of his peers (he also played in Greatest Hits at the RQ/Friendship Bracelet CMJ show) in the relative high-fidelity and distinctly downer beauty he taps into now under a new name, Andrea Schiavelli & The Eyes Of Love. Real discreet Brian Eno glam streak running thru this sometimes lipstick-smeared kinda balladry and this whole (velvet-packaged) tape has an eclectic 60s solo artist vibe.

Andrea is the real deal, I should know, since I've seen his process of mad-science like musical creations happening nearly a decade ago, and he has grown into the ultra brilliance he is now. Flashback/nostalgic/whatever--he deffo tugs on my heartstrings, as I'm sure he'll do the same for you. One love, brotha.
