MP3: Emanuel Vinson - Fagguhoh

Really lovely to wake to some of Emanuel's tripped-out take on dense, hip hop textures after sleeping on my blawg duties for about a minute. Opening with an excerpt from a Funk Flex and Yeezy interview from a few months ago in which the duo discuss Ye's "piece", Vinson plays with subtle touches of modulation to highlight the absurdity of the discussion taking it somewhere almost surreal. About three the minutes in, the beat hits and Vinson spits venom. A short staccato build-up settles into a relentless and ominous rumble where we rise and fall with every part of Vinson's arrangements as he ruminates on themes of self, homosexuality, homophobia and cool, heavy shit other rappers are too afraid to touch.
