MP3: Naked On The Vague - Abstract Figures
Sydney's pioneering apocalyptic freaks Naked On The Vague are back with what's probably their most "accessible" jam so far, whatever that means: the a-side from the forthcoming Abstract Figures 7" (look out for it in almost no record stores on April 29) is propulsive and fidgeting, like a lot of the duo's earlier output, but more differently. It's (almost) hummable, for one, with an excellently '80s rock vibe to it. As in, this is what it might sound like if Naked On The Vague covered INXS? You might think that doesn't necessarily work on paper but fuck that shit: I'm calling this one of the best songs they've ever recorded. Please keep getting better, Naked On The Vague!
