MP3: Glisk - Town Century
Adelaide's Glisk manage to work layers of ambient noise into a bouncy, carefree pop tune without it sounding like an overthought mish-mash of styles on this jam from their debut EP, Servants Heart. It's a pretty impressive accomplishment, really, and it might have something to do with the fact that Glisk are a duo: it's possibly easier to craft a simple but subtle pop song like this with a streamlined, minimal line-up. It's light and upbeat and reminiscent of The Radio Dept.'s elegant creations. You can download the whole EP for free at bandcamp.
