MP3: HTRK - Eat Yr Heart
Really feeling the heavy mechanical trudge of this new jam from HTRK; really tense and and kinda hysterical in the way it layers this heavy cyberpunk, almost horror movie aesthetic on top of a slinky r&b groove. This is the first thing they’ve released since founding member Sean Stewart’s suicide in March last year, and it’s clear the dark vibes from that have well and truly seeped into the music, and judging by the title of the new album – it’s called Work (work, work) – it seems like the bleakness doesn’t begin and end with Eat Yr Heart. The record’s out September 9 thru Mistletone/Ghostly International/Blast First Petite.
