MP3: Holy Strays - Phrenesia (Xander Harris Remix)
The never less than excellent Xander Harris has done a remix for the expanded, digital-only version of Holy Strays' very recent Enlightenment/Phrenesia 7" (this is seriously a good idea, other labels take note). While the original, released last month on Not Not Fun, is a brooding, dark, piano-laden, yet still fundamentally noisy dancefloor tune, Xander Harris' remix unsurprisingly ups the arpeggio quota somewhat. Giving the track a much heftier 4-on-the-floor and replacing all that noise with dreamy synth-workouts, this hits that authentic synth-wave spot.
