I've had a hectic couple of weeks and managed to totally sleep on the new Meadowlands - aka Michael "Bobka" McGregor - tape, which came out on my favourite European nano-imprint Exo Tapes. Cross-Sectional Studies is a real blisser, with a soft-focus palette of textured drones and a soft, almost soothing percussive backbone - so slight you barely notice it most of the time. "Pumpernickles" builds up slow, but really gets me with its attention to detail, where glitchy, alien loops coalesce with almost-house-y drum machine warmth.
