MP3: Westkust - Touch
Been a minute since I last heard from Gothenburg's Westkust but after some time out and a few line up changes (including a new vocalist), I've just been put on to their joyously frenzied new single. Eschewing their previous reverb-heavy, lo-fi approach, the results are decidedly familiar; fuzzy, recklessly ecstatic. Though the now polished feel lends itself to an almost twee-ish quality while still befitting that late 80s/early 90s shoegaze dreaminess they've embraced from the get-go.
"Touch" will be released as a digital single on June 20th followed by the Junk EP sometime in July on Luxury.
