Final Tears is to be the last Internet Club release as we know it, and its hazy, foreboding textures have a very end-days feeling about them. Relying less on re-appropriated and re-purposed samples from the infomercial and televised advertorial worlds, parts of the album veer towards musique concrete territory, not so much seducing as his earlier material did, but alluring the listener with a frightening vision of post-brand-apocalypse grotesquerie.
