Talented California producer Butchy Fuego, aka. San Gabriel, has new mixtape out that hones in on the hyper-contemporary breadth of his many leftfield influences. Containing many of his own productions, much of the mix is firmly dancefloor-oriented, and recalls aspects of the pan-globalism of Kingdom and the forward-thinking willful eclecticism of Gobby, while throwing some spooky dub inflections and snippets of r&b into the mix as well.
Keep an eye out for some fresh releases this year on both Time No Place and Leaving Records.
