HOLES TO FILL

MP3: Cabaret Callado – Aimlessly

The latest record from Sydney’s Cabaret Callado is, as usual, lovely, understated and completely unheralded. You’d never know that Brazilian-Australian Rodrigo Pacheco de Lima had released three albums, and if you did, you mightn’t guess that all three are beautiful crafted works of spacy folk-rock. Some Ware Feels, the latest, is huis best yet. He says his music is “influenced by all sorts of strange patterns, futuristic radiation of the spectrum and the work of Silver Apples, The Olivia Tremor Control, The Residents, Faust and others”. Boom.

You can check out all three of his records at his blog.
