FLY, ROBIN, FLY

Method Man & Redman - Hey Zulu

Ten years on and hip hop's favourite stoners finally bring us a sequel to their collaborative debut. And they still haven't mellowed which is something the faithful would love to know. On top of everything, listening to a Method Man & Redman track acts almost like a lesson in a style in rap music that's been on the decline for years - the duo. Hearing these two go line for line, verse for verse in their disctinctive styles, Meth being rough and low while Red hits you with a distinct, almost nasal flow, is something to relish.

Truth be told, this record's also put me on a bit of a 90s nostalgia trip so I'm also gonna throw in the track that started it all just for good measure - How High. Most people would probably be more familiar with the stripped back remix which featured on the first Blackout! record and as a B-side to the single in 95. So, I'm gonna throw up the original version instead which featured on The Show OST.
