MUTANT BARRYMORE

Fluffy Lumbers - Harry Dolland's

Samuel Franklin's Fluffy Lumbers has graced a number of the internet's best corners since we first shone the torchlight on his scruffy bedroom pop a few months ago. Since then he's put out the totally charming Police Cruisers 7" (grab here if you haven't!), played a bunch of rad shows with cool bandz, and is about to do it all over again. This track "Harry Dolland's" will be set in wax by new Brooklyn label Group Tightener later this year with a TBA cover on the flipside. I think the shift from beach party weather to the autumnal chill likely falling on his home state New Jersey will be perfectly suited to Franklin's penchant for the nostalgic bittersweet, especially when these hazy guitar lines echo like half-remembered punk pop hitz heard while cruising yr suburban neighourhood, sadder on reflection with all their lost and mixed associations. Those in or around NYC should also catch him at a number of CMJ showcases, esp. this amazing Underwater Peoples/OESB/Chocolate Bobka-curated one I'm currently weeping I can't make.
