Getting pretty patriotic about this wonky hip-hop that's wriggled it's way onto a tape from the always rad Leaving Records. This New Zealander's beats span all manner of broke cultural relics and TV set inspirations as well as the more outdoors; overexposed/too-hot Summer paddocks ala Tobacco and constant cicadas (or even the characteristic low/harsh Winter light in Southern parts) might be part of his immediate environment along with what Leaving suggests: "free internet, friends walkmen, friends MPCs, college campus computer labs, found 1/8″ cables, bare feet… Shouts to that important global email circle scene of dak, Oscar McClure, Jonwayne, Delofi, Ichiro, Durlin Lurt, JQua, Enemy Earth, and Miko for this one".
