MP3: Raw Moans - Rose Bath (Chill Pullman rmx)
The original version of Rose Bath, from San Diego's Raw Moans, was heavy and full of conflict, but this remix from Chill Pullman takes the song's pop heart and kicks it into the stratosphere. Both versions sound vaguely dystopian, but Chill Pullman's dystopia is a little more widescreen: reverb rattling around the void, synths beaming out in a way that's almost startling. This jam, from an excellent Raw Moans remix tape Trivial Pursuit have just put out, ramps up the drama, with a result that sounds almost cinematic (in a stoned kinda way), and totally thrilling.
