Perennial RQ fave dude Ryan Howe (the artist formerly known as Luke Perry) just sent over a couple of starry-eyed gunky glam smash hits, and they're managing to sparkle even through the shitty laptop speakers I've been listening to them on all afternoon. I think all that time playing in the Greatest Hits live band has altered Howe's scope on things - trading the shambolic cyborg pop of Luke Perry for some ambitious full-band squeaky stadium glam that sounds like it's being re-directed live from Mars. File this one next to Night Dolls with Hair Spray for sure. Stay tuned for more info on Punks from Mars debut release Madame Tussaud Overdrive and expect a self-titled LP and cassette release later this year!
