MP3: Sean McCann - Auditorium
Been meaning to post something from the couple of best-yet releases from Sean McCann who has steadily been perfecting his actually soaringly beautiful but not hackneyed textural voyages, even pulling off long titles like The Sky Is Filled With Incredible Wishes, the tape from which this one's lifted. It's a companion to the new record The Capital (grip a promo video here and an AZ post here) and is full on the rubble symphonies, semi-revealed melodies and only vaguely terrestrial feelings that characterize his ultra layered work. Pretty sure McCann is my fav "drone" artist right now, though of course that seems like an increasingly weird tag.
