MP3: Green Gerry - L O O O N (Demo)

So glad to hear some more of Green Gerry's "four loko folk" since the excellent Creed cover sampler from Olde English Spelling Bee earlier this month. There's a new collection of songs at his bandcamp in the lead up to the 7" he's got coming out in the label's new burst of weirdness and its part strum and part drone, creaky with samples and post-sunset ambience. It's real syrupy; "L O O O N" is porch-based and twilight-set in its skewed channeling of pastoralia, turned clunky and semi-stoned in a way almost reminiscent of a fuller Taterbug or a tripped out Julian Lynch.
