MP3: Lee Bannon (feat. Chuck Inglish) - Search & Destroy
Having cooked up beats over the past few years for the likes of Curren$y, Willie The Kid, U-N-I and a tonne of independent cats, I thought I'd grown accustomed to Lee Bannon's rough-around-the-edges, post-Dilla vibe but dude throws it all out of the window for this one. From his upcoming Fantastic Plastic project, "Search & Destroy" starts off deceptively lounge-y for the first minute or so with the mix clipping the red and making for an invitingly fuzzy feel, however things quickly warp into an unexpected NASA control room, headphone acid freakout. Enthralling stuff.
