New one from the always-excellent Chapter Music but it's actually an old one by Melbourne post-punk group Essendon Airport. Their 1981 LP Palimpsest gets the reissue treatment in late August but these jivey and happy go lucky staccato-jangles could just as easily be from today, especially thanks to the faded kodachrome footage. "Martial Art" is riding some Scritti Politti or China Crisis-style new pop feelings; v. suitable for my afternoon of work and way too much coffee with the combo of both a smart/plaid-y studiousness and an otherwise scruffy energy.
