Police Academy 6 is one of the aliases of Murfreesboro, Tennessee based Joe Volmer (see also: Party Trash, Clearing, Virgin Spirit..). Under this moniker he has released a self-titled album on AMDISCS, which established a trajectory lying somewhere in the interstices of tumblr, 80s video-game aesthetics, post-chillwave and nu-r&b, covering similar ground to other RQ faves and sometime collaborators of his, Top Girls and Raw Moans.

His mix for us has a substantially clubbier feel, evincing damaged funk, warped and slowed-down r&b and hip-hop, as well as nods to juke and footwork.
