COZE

Mickey Brown - Loongoon
Another slice of downbeat and down-by-the-water evocapop from Lester Brown and Mickey Mickey Rourke; I've been majorly into this particular bass heavy song type of theirs, real imagistic and taking "low key" to another level with a sort of bung ephemerality. Real confounding, actually, in its multitude of long grass river feelings; so many images, awkward feelings.

PRISM KITTENS

Mickey Mickey Rourke - Mama
Mickey Brown - Cough Kitten
Only heard this Mickey Brown song on MacBook speakers so far but super glad to find more on these guys (Mickey Brown being the collab between Lester Brown of Lester Brown and Miller Rodrigeuz of Mickey Mickey Rourke). Nice tired ambient pop with bookish indoor feelings as much as the blurry inner city pastoralia of Brown's other pop, super low key and Ducktailsy sprinkler/picket fence imagery coming through as well. Mickey Mickey Rourke's new Festive Bummer album is what "Mama" is lifted from and actually available for free download HERE cool rite?

SEA WEED

Pretty happy that Sydney blogger / video guy Jared Beeler made a video for a song that has been my favourite thing since grabbing it from Friendship Bracelet last week, a massively weed(?) drenched piece of pop that's equally squashed by some huge sun. It's got the same Super 8 glo-fi synesthesia going on as the Baths vid from yesterday but I would venture to say that these slightly out of focus Cuban footage of slow drivers and "palm trees" and general beachy shit fit even better; real delirious wonder.
