I never got hugely into the split with Ducktails but this new Mudboy tape is real light and meandery, at first reminds me a little of the recent Bigger Insides tape with it's Casio organs smoothed out into pop primitivism. Some plastic seaside dubs w/ indoor mini golf mountain outdoor atmospherics that even include some strange dread in the form of flies buzzing preceding low bass drones to unsettle the already mixed moods.
