Shucks, and I was really hoping this would be a hilarious meta-song in the vein of Tenacious D’s Tribute. Like, they could be walking down some road, we’ll say a long and lonesome one, probably in the Blue Mountains LOL, and they could be writing a thousand odes to some ho and then a demon appears and they forget all their odes because they ran out of coasters back in Faulconbridge. Turns out it’s just exactly what you’d expect from Belles Will Ring: a decent song done with jingle-jangle guitars and reverb-y vox and so straight-faced it makes me want to be completely and unambiguously literal and do nothing but click ‘Publish’ in Blogger and then drink a Coke. Mmm, Coke.
