This track sounds like being sixteen and it's a Sunday afternoon and you should be feeling happy cos it's the weekend but there's school tomorrow so you just sort of lie on the carpet in the sun in yr bedroom thinking about stuff and watching the sun flares through yr neighbour's tree and then maybe going to play basketball which is fun but it's still not enough to shake that hollow kind of feeling. Did anyone else have this problem with Sundays? Anyway Big Troubles are two guys from New Jersey and this track is really lovelorn with teenage feelings and dusky vocals and lots of trebly Pavement scuzz. They've got some upcoming releases on the totally hot and excellent Underwater Peoples and Olde English Spelling Bee, and they're also playing their debut show at the Underwater Peoples Showcase at the Market Hotel in Brooklyn on August 22 so if yr in the area check it out for sure.
