Hard to say where Boatparty are coming from when all the tracks I've heard range from Kurt Vile-y style highway solos, bedroom funk and their self-proclaimed "new age disco bullshit" but I guess it doesn't matter when they all satisfy in their eclectic transience. Each track plays like a vignette and maintains a teasing distance, flourishing for only a fleeting moment before dissipating like some happy daydream where yr on an island and the most pressing concern is whether you want to party on a boat or chill out on the sand.
