Amanda and Bethany reached down into their tote bag and even though there was lots of lint and dust and bits of tobacco and some sand getting all gritty amongst the sunglasses and book and bus tickets, they also found out as they reached further down that their tote bag went on forever and their arms got longer and longer along with it. It made it hard to find what they were looking for in their bag. They walked along the street past the fences and tall terrace houses with groups of kids (adults) sitting on the steps drinking beers, their heads all dewey and their smiles getting bigger as Amanda and Bethany strode down the street, hand in their bag and headphones across their heads.
