Kind of surprised Get Back Guinozzi are signing to Fat Cat (amazing label of course it's just this sorta pop isn't as often found in their catalogue) but "Carpet Madness" has been a regular in my DJ sets (LOL), love its distant/behind mattress glitter, they've got the enthused disinterest down pat, funneling Feelies type post/punk and plastic Goddard style and coupling it with a distinct conception of fun, frenchy frenchy fun, dozens of Parisians smokin' rollies and disco dancing but the carpets not sticky with drinks. This song is a cover of course, but it's certainly coated in a particular glucosey tropical film.
